Noiin Child Project

The Nobiin Child project mainly aims to introduce the Nobiin language to the Nubian children community who lives in Nubia and in the diaspora.  One of the primary purposes of this project is to introduce the Nobiin language to the schooling system in Nubia as a curricular subject to the local elementary schooling syllabus there. The project contains six different educational levels of Nobiin language that each one presents a modernly- developed Nobiin language curriculum. This Nobiin language curriculum contains a comprehensive study program designed for the elementary schooling grades, from Grade 1 to Grade 6.

. Each language educational level contains two language books: the main workbook and a storybook. Both books are designed using the documented oral intangible heritage such as folk children’s tales and folk children’s songs.

The language program relies on the use of the modern technique of language teaching and the innovative teaching tools, such as songs, colored materials, and illustrations, to attract the pupils of Nubia to learn their local language.

This project NLS opens classes to teach Nobiin for children of Nubia in many locations inside and outside Nubia. NLS published many teaching materials and one album for children’s songs. NLS special book series for children includes storybooks, and this curriculum links the Nubian children to their Nubian environment.
