This project aims to provide complete archive for Nobiin language and its uses in all aspects of life. Nobiin as an endangered language requires a dedicated documentation project. This project will be is dependent not only on the work of NLS team but on the contributions of other individuals and organizations from the Nubian communities who are willing to participate with NLS team in this project. The Nobiin documentation archive will contain the following data categories:
- Oral traditions:
- Folk oral arts such as folk tales, folk poetry and songs, folk proverbs & wisdom sayings, folk jokes, folk riddles, and folk tongue twisters.
- Folk oral history
- Folk performing arts.
- Folk games and sports
- Material culture
- Customs and traditions
- Old Nubian majuscule texts
- All Nobiin publications
